I then taught at Howden School for 6 years during which time I helped set up, teach and assess new GCSE\u2019s in Applied Science and Business and Communication Systems. I also developed the science web site on the school intranet; organised science and ICT recording system to monitor students\u2019 progress; set up a database and mail merge for student reports.<br>With my IT skills and my willingness to try new things \u201coperate outside my comfort zone\u201d as the saying goes I pioneered the use of short video clips, which I captured from the TV or filmed myself, and the use of a digital projector and interactive whiteboards in the school.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On leaving agriculture I used the degree I had gained to allow me to take a PGCE and become a science and ITC teacher.
